Frequently asked questions
How are the changes highlighted?
The two texts are compared line by line: lines that only exist in one version are marked as additions or removals, and lines that differ are flagged as edits — so you can scan a long document and spot every difference in seconds.
Is there a limit on how much text I can compare?
Practical limits come from your device rather than a server — even very long documents compare in-browser, though enormous inputs may take a moment to process. Nothing is uploaded either way, however large the texts are.
Are my texts stored or shared?
Never. Both texts stay in your browser tab for the duration of the comparison and are discarded when you leave. Confidential clauses, private drafts and proprietary code can be compared without leaving the machine they are on.
